Hello everybody!
Greetings from deepest Shropshire! Nestled in the Ironbridge Gorge halfway between the Welsh hills and the industrial heritage of the English West Midlands comes Cosy Yeti - Toby Tottle to some - that's me. Since 2006 I have been passionate - fanatical even - about wool. Perhaps this is because at the time I was at university in Lampeter in mid Wales, where there's certainly no shortage of sheep. It also has a great deal to do with the importance of keeping traditional skills alive and active. Expect a good deal more on here in the coming weeks, as I work (almost) tirelessly spinning yarn from washed fleece on my Ashford wheel, weaving scarves on my loom and organising workshops. Perhaps I'll even find time for very strong coffee and a reflective moment to consider those fields in Ceredigion where I first plucked a few locks of wool from a wire fence and wondered if I could make my own clothes from it.
